Hi, I’m James, founder of HotelsWithTruckParking.com (HWTP).
For a decade, my wife and I have travelled across America in our RV, a 2014 Sprinter, chasing mountains, coastlines and a whole lot of dreams. Every now and then we needed a place to stay. Sometimes the weather turned, sometimes we just longed for a proper bed and a hot shower.
Finding a room was never the problem.
Parking was.
I’d call the front desk, study satellite views, and sometimes drive all the way to the hotel only to find our rig wouldn’t fit through the gate. So we started keeping a list of the stops that worked, and passing it around a small circle of RV friends who had the same trouble. That private list is what became HWTP.
Our ten years on the road plus every stop our friends added, now open to everyone, so you can hit the road knowing there’s a room for you and a spot for your rig.

Yes, 100%. The website is free to use, with no membership charge. A mobile app is coming soon.
How do you know a hotel actually has parking?
Every listing is added by community members and cross-checked against satellite images, the hotel description and user reviews. In a few cases, we call the hotel directly to confirm. So you don’t have to guess or call the front desk yourself.
What kinds of rigs can I find parking for?
Each listing shows which rigs it supports: semi trucks, RVs and camper vans, U-Haul and moving trucks, and trailers. Check the details for your particular rig before you travel.
Who writes the reviews?
Community members and drivers like you who have actually parked there. They write the reviews and upvote or downvote each stop.
Can you guarantee there’ll be room for my rig?
Unfortunately, no. Lots fill up and policies change from time to time. For our part, we lean on listings that drivers have reviewed and rated well.
Does it cost extra to park?
Sometimes. Some hotels charge an overnight parking fee, and where we know it, we note it on the listing page.
Can I add a hotel or flag one that changed?
Yes. Members add stops they find and flag the ones that no longer work, which keeps the list current.
